The Russiagate Documentation Project
A Living Archive of the Counterlawfare Institute
The Russiagate investigation remains the preeminent modern case study in lawfare, the strategic abuse of legal systems and institutional processes to achieve political and social outcomes. While often characterized as a standard counterintelligence inquiry, the documented record reveals that the true origin of the false collusion narrative was as a political smear that was subsequently institutionalized within the federal justice system.
The historical arc of this narrative can be traced back as early as February 2016, appearing first in political campaign communications rather than official intelligence channels. The Counterlawfare Institute has curated this repository to document how that initial campaign strategy was transitioned into a multi-year legal and investigative operation that transcended the boundaries of executive oversight and judicial transparency.
